Helen Fitzgerald

Helen Fitzgerald

Like many older Americans, Helen found preparing meals for just herself was quite different than cooking for a whole family. Taking shortcuts may seem easier, but doing so can be risky when it comes to quality of food and meeting our nutritional needs as we grow older.

On a trip to the supermarket with a nutritionist, Helen learned that knowing her nutritional needs was the first step in planning meals that will keep her healthy and active. She discovered that with planned shopping, reading labels, and simple, creative recipes meals can be healthy and delicious, even for one!
